The Elrod family moved to Murfreesboro from Granville, Tennessee, Smith County, cicra 1900.  It is remarkable that they would select the marketing of women's clothing as their method of making a living in Murfreesboro.  The original Elrod home has been moved to another site and the modern home you see was built by the Parsons family.
